Methyl-ethyl-ketone (MEK) is an industrial organic solvent that is characterized by suitable boiling point, good solubility, volatilization, stability and nontoxic. It is applied as a solvent in paint, dye, adhesives, magnetic tapes, pharmaceutical, and refining industries
Currently, most MEK is commercially produced using dehydrogenation of 2-butanol. The industrially used alcohol dehydrogenation catalysts are copper, brass and/or zinc-based. Our MEK catalysts provide higher productivity due to their lower temperature operation and minimum side reactions
